DIY Adding Character to Any Home!
These are some of my most favorite ways of adding character. All very easy, inexpensive, and make the old look new again! Who doesn't love the sound of that?
Add TWO shower curtains - instead of just one. This makes the space look bigger and more elegant. Want the room to look like it it larger with high ceilings? Move your shower rod all the way up to the ceiling! This is going to open the room right up!
You can get shower curtains on sale or even from Ross or TJ Maxx!
OR if you feel extra crafty get some inexpensive table cloths!
Or even find a good sale on curtains!
These lamps go for $50 or more!
How about you take an old lamp, buy a plain/cheap/boring lamp shade.
Buy some inexpensive ruffle ribbon from JoAnn's
Wrap and Glue! Ta-Dah!
Do you love shopping deals on KSL, Thrift Stores, Antique Shops, or the D.I.? ME TOO!
Have you ever seen those old doors for CHEAP CHEAP!? Why don't you convert your pantry door into a fabulous focal point by adding one of those old doors into your home!?
IKEA spice racks make bathroom storage? Fabulous!
Don't be afraid to paint your front door!

Makes something plain/ugly something fabulous!
$5 Walmart mirrors make a fabulous statement over a desk or living room couch!
PLUS, Mirrors make ANY room look 10 x's larger!
I used this method as a headboard over my bed!
Why don't you mount your TV and frame it?
KSL or D.I. armoire or curio=Perfect Shoe Storage!
Paint or add wallpaper to the backs of old bookcases to make them pop!
